How to lose weight?
well, let me give you a little tip, from an everyday man, just like you.
Hi, my name is frederic.
I am not an expert or anything like that.
I used to play professional basket ball at college and university, and then i started working.
Within a few months, I was out of the gym, with no time for myself, not even for a quick game on the week end.
I was living "better" so I started eating "more" not "better".
Result: I put a few pounds on my stomach and it is a pain to take that one off. Trust me.
So, as you can see, it is easy to gain weight, just get the perfect combination of wrong eating habits and lack of exercise and you will see your belly getting bigger each day.
Now, it is not really that embarrassing to have a big stomach, as long as I can see my lower self :)... But what was bothering me was the short breath after any kind of effort, for simple things like climbing stairs, or in my line of work step ladders.
I am not here to tell you how to lose weight, not really.
I just want to share with you what I did wrong and what I am doing right now.
First, I am not capable of starving myself... forget it. But what I could do is eating a complete breakfast every morning that would get me through the day without feeling the need to rush to a fast food by lunch time.
Second, I took a gym membership. I did not go very often though but at least I knew I could get some exercise whenever I felt like it. My first mistake, going to the gym was being alone on my journey.
Human competition or mutual motivation is the key factor for any program to work.
So if you are thinking about taking a gym membership, offer one to your best buddy as well. No need for a personal trainer... Take someone with you who can motivate you and that you can motivate in return. It will do good to the both of you.
I have no clue what a perfect meal is, and anyway, if it was tasting better than what i eat, it would be in my plate already:)...
So, I do not worry about that, but I know that quantity lead to quantity. In short, the more you eat, the bigger you get. Simple.
So to lose weight, try to eat less than necessary. If you are full, just leave that plate alone. No one is competing with you...
Do not eat because everyone is doing it. If you already had something to eat earlier and your stomach is not calling for more, just walk away.
The principle every book use as a secret formula to lose weight is to burn fat.
That simply means, if you put something in your stomach, you will have to work it out to make it work for you. if you do not, it stays as an extra in your body. That extra is called fat.
